This is a safety and liability policy that protects your belongings, your household, and our crew, and it's the same standard every reputable safe mover in the country follows. No exceptions.

Three reasons. First, safety: loose firearms and ammunition shifting inside a 1,000-lb safe during a move is genuinely dangerous — for you, your family, and our crew. Second, weight: an already 1,200-lb safe becomes significantly heavier and harder to balance on a stair-climbing hand truck when loaded, which increases the risk of drops, tips, and property damage. Third, liability and chain of custody: we don't move firearms, ammunition, cash, or valuables inside a safe. Empty the safe before we arrive and we can focus 100% on moving the safe itself safely.

A standard 500-800 lb home gun safe on a single level with truck access is a straightforward flat-rate move; a 1,200 lb Fort Knox down a flight of stairs is a bigger job. Yes, with the right equipment — a real stair-climbing hand truck (not a rented furniture dolly) and a three-plus person crew for anything heavy. We assess the specific staircase, landing turns, and floor type before committing to a plan. Occasionally we'll recommend a different entrance (garage door, basement walkout, sliding door) if the interior stairs are too tight.

We can position it exactly where you want and secure it to a wall stud, floor joist, or concrete slab on request — tell us your preference before move day. If we need specific hardware (concrete anchors for a slab install), we can bring it or coordinate with what you already have.

Before booking, ask us for the current licensing, insurance and valuation details applicable to your specific move. Coverage, limits, exclusions and building documentation should be confirmed in writing.

Brand matters because it tells us where the door swings, where the bolt work is, and where we can safely put straps without damaging finish.
