Upright piano moving cost

Uprights (spinet, console, studio) typically move as a flat local rate in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene metro. Single-level, truck-accessible, standard-width doorways — this is the simplest piano job and the price reflects that. Text 208-295-MOVE for our current flat-rate.

Baby grand piano moving cost

Baby grands run higher than uprights because the move requires breaking down the legs and lyre, moving the body on a piano board on its side, and reassembling at the destination. Add stairs and the number goes up again. Budget meaningfully more than an upright, less than a full grand.

Full grand piano moving cost

Full 7 or 9-foot grands are custom-quoted every time — weight, model, stair count, doorway widths, and driveway access all factor in. A concert grand out of a South Hill Victorian is a different job than a 5’7” grand in a Kendall Yards townhouse. We walk it before we quote it.

What raises the price

Stairs (each flight adds real crew time and difficulty), tight stairwell turns, narrow doorways requiring the piano to enter on its side, long carry from the truck, and the piano’s exact weight and dimensions. A 400-lb upright and a 900-lb grand are entirely different jobs.

What does not raise the price

Location within the Spokane–CDA metro. Same rate whether you’re moving from South Hill to Kendall Yards or from Post Falls to Hayden. We don’t upcharge for the ZIP code, only for the actual work.

Why cheap piano quotes usually aren’t
